I am a translator and actor living in the Amsterdam (NL) area. There are index cards and pens all over my apartment. I prefer an easy-going, European-style approach to productivity and do not feel particularly attracted to high-level systems. I believe in the importance of lunch and idleness as well as doing one's work well. I watch very little TV (I have no cable or dish, but there are one or two shows (Six Feet Under and The Sopranos spring to mind) that I do watch -- on tape or DVD).
Topics of interest include:
- Fountain pens (The Pelikan 800's a favourite.)
- Notebooks (I am currently using a hip little number by Bindewerk, which is really a small sketch book. I'll have that one filled up soon, after which I'll probably using a little black book from Ryman.)
- Notebook software, such as TreePad
- To-do software (I have just started using the extremely versatile ListPro, which does much more than just to-do lists.)
- Outliners
Do as little work as possible, to the best of your abilities.
