[edit] Discussion
Shouldn't we take the discussion off the article and put it back here?
Absolutely. Done. --RobertDaeley 23:12, 24 Mar 2005 (EST)
As for not carrying a mobile phone, is this just to not be disturbed? Couldn't you keep it turned off? My phone is also my watch and alarm clock, and obviously it's quite handy in an emergency situation. (I've called an ambulance in the past for someone who was injured.) --Pete Prodoehl 24 Mar 2005
- It was a bit of a no-brainer. I'm either at home, at work, or travelling underground. I don't get much utility out of a mobile, and the SMS network is way too slow. For a watch I use my, er, watch. My son is a great alarm clock. And as a city-dweller I'm never the only person aound with a mobile. (On preview, that sounds a bit defensive... you know what I mean!) --RB 16:35, 24 Mar 2005 (EST)
- That's funny, as I did the opposite: got rid of the watches and use my cell phone as a sort of pocket watch if I need one. Although in the modern world you can't hardly swing a cat without hitting a clock of some kind. :) --RobertDaeley 21:02, 24 Mar 2005 (EST)
- I was given a ('proper') watch for a birthday, so I felt I should really wear it. And I regularly pass adverts warning about mobile phone theft. I wish it were otherwise, I'd love to feel safer using a phone ... --RB 03:49, 1 Apr 2005 (EST)
