That is the most perfect phrase I have ever heard. productivity pr0n. All of the sudden I am overwhelmed by the thought of why this is such a great time to be alive. Presumably some of the 43Folders community have face to face discussion time, but I am way over this side of the pacific in southern Japan. The whole idea that i even get to read your writing and be in on the somewhat inside joke (pr0n) is so amazing. I tried to explain to my perfectly fluent English speaking Japanese wife, but the references to the disparate threads of why that expression is so funny makes explaining like explaining a joke. Thanks for the day long laughs i got from reading and thinking about it.
 Office supplies
So it's tax time again. I'm going over the expense reports, and I notice that the 'Office Supplies' column is larger that the 'CD/DVD' column. I spent more on sorting, organizing, and filing fetish gear, than I spent on CDs last year. And I buy a lot of CDs. Avery 0wnz me; I think I might have a problem. --JamesRifkin 16:00, 14 Apr 2005 (EDT)
That freegraphpaper.com url at the end looks pretty spammy. Delete maybe? --RobertDaeley 14:29, 10 Apr 2005 (EDT)
 Moved for consideration
Two items of current interest to the GTD Tribe: http://www.freegraphpaper.com/ and be sure to see the Sunday, April 10 edition of Frazz, http://www.comics.com/comics/frazz/index.html Both of these are right up our collectve alleys. (Jim Scolman)
I reorganized a bit, but in the process I found myself wondering if it would make more sense for some of the things listed here to go elsewhere and just have pointers on this page. --Cmc 21:36, 5 May 2005 (EDT)
 Stuff belongs elswhere
I guess I'd intended the page to be just a definition. I'm not sure it's the right place for atomic content and examples. I think I'd rather see links to other pages on the wiki where appropriate. Thoughts?

 Could be a New Category
Maybe "productivity pr0n" could be a new category? ;-) --Cmc 17:47, 8 May 2005 (EDT)
Does something have to be tangible to count?
Thinking about things some more, I find myself wondering if something has to be tangible -- fondleable, or at least capable of being fondled if you actually had it -- to count as PP?
That is, things like the Tiddly_Wiki are cool, and fun to play with, but they're not something you can pull out of your pocket or your briefcase and say, "Check this out!" to random strangers. Catalogs count, I think, because you can keep looking at them until you finally decide to buy the things they show (or give up on ever possessing them).
