If you want the cheque you signed to be cashed for the same amount you wrote it for, use a fountain pen or a black ink ballpoint. Nonerasable gel pens are also suitable. Do not use coloured (i.e. blue, red, etc.) ballpoint to sign important documents. They are easily modified.
The Pilot Vpen is a disposable fountain pen.
