When all else fails, It's a good idea to crib from Wikipedia. Their Community_Portal has several ideas we could borrow.

Hi, in/on the "Recent Changes" page, I think I figured out the bold M,are minor edits, but what is the bold N, new ? What are the red exclamation points? Thanks, Jim PhotoDay--JWS 19:24, 6 May 2005 (EDT)
